The Kasol to Kheerganga trek is an invigorating journey, which not only unveils the stunning terrain of the Himalayas, but also gives you a chance to learn about the interesting culture of the people living here. You will visit plenty of villages, and there will be infinite opportunities for you to click pictures with the snow-capped peaks in the background.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Kasol – Barshaini – Rudra Nag – Kheerganga
The thrilling Kheerganga trek begins from the small village of Kasol, situated on the banks of the serene Parvati River. After pickup, move to Barshaini, the point of confluence of the Parvati and Tosh Rivers, to start hiking. While strolling through the magnificent landscape of Himachal Pradesh, you will be treated to majestic sights of nature. On the trail, pass a few wooden bridges and some slippery sections. During this part of the trek, your eyes also feast on many picturesque waterfalls. Later, arrive at Rudra Nag, and take a brief halt to admire the beauty of the landscape. The serpent-shaped waterfall has become one of the biggest tourist attractions in the Parvati Valley and a popular stop for
trekkers. The approximately 12-km hike along the gushing Parvati River also takes you to the villages of Kalga and Pulga. This is a great time to learn about the local way of life and see how people survive here. Interact with the locals, and click a few pictures with them to save as memoirs of the amazing time you have on the trek. After reaching the green meadow of Kheerganga, take a refreshing dip in the hot springs to wash off the fatigue of the journey. The cool weather and vistas of the mighty peaks of the Himalayas, and the therapeutic water of the hot springs is a unique combination; an experience you will remember for the rest of your life. Later, enjoy a good night’s sleep in your camp to gather energy for the next day.

Day 2: Kheerganga – Rudra Nag – Barshaini – Kasol
Wake up to a magnificent view of the Himalayan peaks, and prepare for the journey back to Kasol through the same route you took to reach Kheerganga. Seize this opportunity to click pictures of the Himalayan landscape once again. The picture-perfect waterfalls en route treat your eyes, and soon you arrive in Barshiani. From here, head back to the buzzing hill station of Kasol, where this enthralling experience of trekking from Kasol to Kheerganga ends, leaving you with never-ending memories.

  • Where is the reporting point in Kasol exactly?
    You need to report at River Site Camping (this is around 1 km before Kasol town if you are coming from Bhuntar).
  • How to reach to reporting location from Bhuntar  or Kasol bus stand?
    From Bhuntar either you can take a taxi or can take a Bus and needs to drop down just 1 km before kasol town. One can see a Board of River Site Camping on the Road only and can also see the camp site from the Road and its on the left hand side if one is coming from Bhuntar. From Kasol one can either just walk or can take a cab and cab should charge around 100 INR max.
  • Will parking space be available?
    Since its just near the Road and there are lot of space besides Road where one can park their vehicle. The campsite is a little downhill and there is no way one can bring their vehicle but there is lot of place to park their vehicle besides the road.
  • What is the toilet facility? In camp as well as during trekking?
    In the campsite there are swiss tents as well as Dome tents . In Swiss tents there are attach Western style toilets and for Dome tents there are common toilets. During trekking there is a facility of Concrete toilette but in Indian style.
  • What will be accommodation style? Twin sharing / Triple sharing?
    At Kheerganga triple sharing tent accommodation. At Tosh 3 / 4 people sharing large comfortable rooms will be provided. Accommodation style can be changed if the said type of accommodation is not available for whatsoever reason.
  • Is there a luggage room available?
    Yes, we do have a space for Luggage room but in case there are some precious items then we can make arrangements on chargeable basis.
  • Is Freshening up facility available before trek starts?
    Yes, freshening facility is available without any charge.
  • Where is the reporting point in Kasol exactly?
    You need to report at River Site Camping (this is around 1 km before Kasol town if you are coming from
    Bhuntar). 
  • How to reach to reporting location from Bhuntar  or Kasol bus stand?

You will have network at Kheerganga. Signal will be intermittent in the mountains.

Kasol is the best place to withdraw money from.
